Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is epaperchase?
A: We're a community of like-minded individuals who do expense
tracking and document management for small businesses and sole proprietorships.
Q: Why is a service
like epaperchase beneficial to a small business or sole proprietor?
A: Small business owners don't
make money when they are recording expenses.
Q: What makes epaperchase
different?
A: Quicken,
Neat Receipts, and so many other solutions are complex and bloated with
features and advertising. What's more, they're not backed up every
night to a secure location. With epaperchase, there is no software to install
except for a small component that helps our website find your
scanner or all in one printer.
Q: Does it cost to start my own expense
management business?
A: If you need training, we charge $300. After training, we charge monthly based on the
number of users you support. You'll need a computer, a fast internet connection (broadband or DSL) and a
scanner or all in one printer. You might not need anything else except
for snacks to munch on when you're working!
Q: What is the epaperchase community?
A: Its partners like you, your customers, experts, and us.
We believe that a team can make great things happen and we're
facilitating that through our community server.
Q: Do I need a college degree or
accounting experience?
A: No.
You are entering data and clicking on the Scan Button on a website. You don't need to be a CPA or a background
in accounting or finance.
Q: I have never had a business before.
Can I become a partner?
A: Everyone has to start somewhere but we recommend getting
help! Why not start where you receive great training and have
the opportunity to join a great community of like-minded
individuals.
Q: Many self-employed people and
sole proprietors have accountants or CPAs. Isn't this accounting?
A: Accounting firms and CPAs have many different
focuses. Our software was designed with their needs in mind. Our transactions can be imported
into most accounting systems (QuickBooks and others) or spreadsheets (Excel).
Q: What happens
at Tax Time? How does a customer access their records?
A: Our partners create customer
logons and provide their customer a logon name and password.
Their customer can share that information with their accountant or CPA,
export their records
or simply print reports.
Q: Can we trust you?
A: We believe that our software
is more secure
than most. Our partners undergo training
on computer security and they have had criminal background checks.
Our software is checked every day by McAffee Secure. (If you have more questions, please contact us. We're happy to
discuss our security and privacy policy with you.)
Q: What if I want to do more than expense
management with my customers?
A: We think that we offer an incredible opportunity for
small businesses that already offer some kind of office-service. We know our partners offer office organization, customer
thank-you notes, errands, holiday card mailings, and other services
already.
Q: What else should I consider?
A: Starting a business is not a trivial undertaking - even
when it isn't a full time business. If you want to become our
partners, be prepared to make a commitment similar to other businesses.
If you don't know what that's like, ask someone who owns a business
what that commitment is like. Your customers want to know you're
going to be there because, for all intensive purposes, they intend on
being in business a long time.
